FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UMIYA, LARGEST ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT SUSHI CHAIN, OPENING NEW RESTAURANT IN RALEIGH’S NORTH HILLS

[RALEIGH, N.C., Dec. 10, 2024] — Umiya, a national, family-led chain, will soon open the doors to its newest all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant in Raleigh.

Umiya’s Raleigh location is expected to open in early December on East Six Forks Road in the lively North Hills neighborhood. The 12,500-square-foot space will seat about 300 diners. The restaurant will start with a soft opening to help the owners adapt to customers’ preferences. Seats will be limited based on staff capacity and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

The family behind Umiya started the chain in Texas. They now manage more than 20 locations in Texas, the Carolinas, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky and Florida, making Umiya the largest all-you-can eat sushi chain in the United States in terms of restaurant quantity. The menu will also include Japanese hotpot.

“We want to give people options that they can’t get anywhere else in the Triangle. There will be something for everyone,” said one of the restaurant partners, “but we won’t compromise on quality or service.”

The ownership team shared that they plan on using what they’ve learned from the existing restaurants to raise the standard for their upcoming restaurants. They emphasized that their goal is to raise the bar for all restaurants in the Triangle and wherever they go next.
